Cathy Ashley, Chief Executive of Family Rights Group (FRG), visited our group, along with Chris and Colin Leaves who run the Peterborough group ‘Second Generation’.
As always, it was so lovely to catch-up with Chris and Colin and it was good to have Cathy as part of our meeting. She was able to let all the Grandparents know what is happening with regards to the 'cuts' and funding that could affect FRG. They are very concerned for the ‘Free Phone’ support telephone line, which FRG runs. Cathy was also able to tell us about the ‘Lobby Day’ this year, which was well attended and well organised. It would appear that a lot had been learnt from last year’s first event.
